Reading Log Questions 1
1. The Good Lord Bird means that there needs to be change in what is going on in the time period that the plot took place. It represents that there is a great sin that is being committed and there will be a final judge but also a messenger to that judge. It connects to the title of the book because the Lord is the judge while the Bird is the messenger it can be peaceful or violent.

2. Henry's nickname is Onion. He earned it because he ate John Brown's lucky onion.

3. Henry was scared and did not want to fight with John Brown and he knew that he could more easily manipulate men into getting what he wants by being a helpless little girl. Yes I believe it was justifiable.

  1. Thank you for your statements Alexiy. Both statements 2 and 3 are accurate; however statement 1 is not. Please revisit your understanding of the connection between the title of the book and what the bird represents.
